It’s a little early in the year still, but winter seems to be giving way to spring where I live. Maybe it won’t last, but the weather’s been warmer and rainier. I’ve been seeing and hearing more songbirds, and even signs of new growth in some of the plants and trees.

The other day, when I was walking home from work, the wind sprang up and pushed some leftover leaves around. I ended up with the following in my head:

Dancing in the breeze

Taking those words, I starting writing a haiku. I ended up writing four, all about the changing of seasons.

Feel free to join in on the haiku writing! You can post in the comments or link back here. It can be about changing seasons, if you so desire, or any other type of change or transition. Or you know, anything else you feel like writing about.

Happy Haikuing!
